Urban Enviornment project...
My next step is to make a 3D object inspired from my painting. I don't want to re-create a mini elecrticity pylon but I want to use the idea of the underside angle of the pylon in my 3D object. I think I'll use large sheets of newsprint paper rolled up tightly into long tubes and use either a glue gun or pva glue to hold it all together.

Goodbye lightbulbs, hello pylons...
After my progress review I realised that my work so far was too scattered... I decided to focus more closely on electricity pylons.
I took some photos of electricity pylons and edited them on the compter. It was night time when I took the photos, it was also raining. The rain caused the pictures to look quite blured however, this gave the pylons and interesting look, especailly the photos that I took while standing under the pylon and pointing the camera upwards. I changed the brightness and saturation of some of the photos and painted over other using the "paint" application on my computer.
- I decided to make a 3D electricity pylon out of crayons.
- I melted the ends of the crayons over a candle and stuck them together.
Although I enjoyed making this, I felt that it didn't really represent the structure of the pylon as I wanted, I found it very difficult to stick the crayons on at a diagonal angle... so, this 3D object didn't really turn out like an electricity pylon!

Electricityscape
During the past week I've been looking more at bulindings in the city at night and the lights of these buildings. I like the image of the city lit up at night.

Change of mind..
I changed my mind about the graffiti idea. I felt that it wasn't working out how I wanted it to. Instead I changed to looking at electricity in the urban enviornment. This included looking at electricity pylons. Their structure and size are something that interest me. I also looked at lightbulbs as a more commonly recongnaised source of electricity. I also intend on looking at electricity (mainly lights and electricity pylons) used at night in the urban enviornement.

Urban enviornment... graffiti
When I first received the project urban enviornment my initial thought was to go with the theme of graffiti. I made a mind map and took a lot of photos of graffiti around different places in the city, I also searched the web for different graffiti ideas and looked up work form various graffiti artists.
